El Prevost
In the early 2000s, when UK Garage was giving way to Grime, El Prevost was making his first major mark on the UK’s underground music.
In 2001, El Prevost set up his label Linx Recordings featuring Pay As You Go Cartel, Wiley, Kano, Tincey Strider & Flow Dan amongst many others. Inspired by the likes of Derrick May, Theo Parish, & Wally Lopez, El Prevost shifted towards the house & techno scene.
In 2004, El Prevost set up his second label Built in Britain Records under which he released his material as Deepologists. Built-in Britain & Deepologists received solid support from some of the world's finest DJs including Danny Tenaglia, Deep Dish, Chus & Ceballos. In 2010, El Prevost had his first solo release on Elevation Recordings. Songs such as “Do You Remember?” and “These Days and Times” received support from Osunlade & Laurent Garnier along with 5/5 reviews in Debug and IDJ magazines.
El Prevost went on to release 5 EPs on London’s Third Ear Recordings: Money Honey EP (2011), Putting Out Fires EP (2012) & Ash EP and Allez Ally (2014) & The Surreal EP (2014). As Third Ear’s Guy McCreery quotes, “El Prevost has a talent for beats, grooves and sound design that few can match”.
El Prevost’s solo tracks have been selected by DJs like Steve Bug, Patrice Scott, DJ Hell, Pearson Sound, Steffi, Dan Ghenacia/Apollonia, Dixon, and Ricardo Villalobos. In 2013, Allez Ally was selected by Apollonia as the leading track on Fabric 70. Shonky & Dan Ghanacia remixed the track for the Allez Ally EP on Third Ear Recordings, which had huge support and featured on mix compilations: Mathias Kaden & Popof In The Mix (Cocoon Recordings), Various - ANTS presents The Mix 2014 (ITH Records) & Doorly - Toolroom Knights (Toolroom Records) No Speakers is El Prevost’s latest label representing established artist & newcomers from the house and techno genre.
No Speakers roster includes artists such as Doorly, Tigerskin, Wbeeza, 65D Mavericks & Gabbi Lopez. The Debut release will be tracked by Eric “Eman” Clark (“It’s Yours” Jon Cutler) & El Prevost with remixes by Korevex, Rob Perry, and Mark Broom.
